Sarjapur or Sarjapura was once famous for its muslin and silk cloth. Today, it’s a residential and industrial hub with high demand for real estate properties. BMTC buses run in good numbers in Sarjapur, making commuting between Sarjapur and the rest of the city easier.

Autos and cabs too are easily available. Majestic, the nodal point of bus and train connectivity is 32 kms away from Sarjapur. Carmelaram houses the nearest train station. It is around 13 kms away and can be reached via the Sarjapur Main Road.

Carmelaram Railway Station also comes under the suburban railway network. The Kempegowda International Airport is around 58 kms away from Sarjapur. The proposed RV Road-Bommasandra and the Silk Board-KR Puram Metro Lines, the Peripheral Ring Road Project and the Satellite Town Ring Road Projects when completed are further expected to enhance the connectivity aspect of Sarjapur.

While proximity to major IT hubs, strategic location, excellent connectivity and good social infrastructure are the highlights of residing in Sarjapur, traffic, bad roads, lack of basic infrastructure and over commercialization in certain pockets of the locality are the major drawbacks.
